Importing into Ento can be a quick way to add a large number of roles
Core HR > Account Data > Import Data
Importing
To start a new file import, go to Core HR > Account data > Import data and click Create new.
Open the Type dropdown list and select ‘’.
The purple bar under the file selection will then update to include a ‘Click here’ link for downloading a CSV template that includes all the fields necessary to get importing.
An example of the data to be entered will also display.

import requirements
The import will require a unique ID for the , the ID and a name.
In the ‘Count against sales’ column for that , enter Yes if you want to use Activity tracking & labour demand forecasting. An example maybe for a sales assistant or bar manager .
There is also an option to include a comma separated list of IDs to be added to that in the column.
Once you have imported the data successfully, it will appear and can be edited under Core HR > Organisation Structure >.

All the staff that can work the role should be selected. These selections are used by the system when suggesting staffs for shifts you have added or need to find a fill-in for. Star ratings can be set and used to further tune the order staffs are shown in suggestion lists.

To assign a new staff to the role, start typing their name or ID.

If the role you are adding or editing shares a similar set of staffs to another role within your company, select it in this list. Note: All previous staff selections and ratings will be removed on save.

Custom data fields can be used to store additional pieces of information on roles, which you can then report on. Custom data fields can be defined on the ‘Settings -> Custom data’ page of your account.
